PlayStation Plus March 2018 Predictions

The PlayStation Plus lineup for February is about ready to hit but as always gamers want to know what games they could get for free next. Sony kicked off 2018 on PlayStation Plus in pretty good shape by offering two pretty great titles in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman The Telltale Series Season 1 and then followed it up by giving RiME and Grand Kingdom in February. Not only that but we got another bonus PlayStation VR title in Starblood Arena as well.

As we head toward month number three of 2018 we are going to make a few predictions on some titles that could appear in the lineup next month.

1. Nex Machina

nex machina

You can ask most people what were some of the hidden indie gems on the PlayStation 4 in 2017 and I guarantee you that most will name Nex Machina as one of them. Housemarque has consistently put out quality games with great arcade gameplay but unfortunately the games never get bought by near the amount of people that they should. Nex Machina was one of the best reviewed games last year including right here on It looks and runs great and has fast, addictive, and fun twin stick gameplay mechanics. It was one of my favorite games of 2017 and I could easily see it on PlayStation Plus next month.

2. Tales of Berseria

tales of berseria

Another title released in early 2017 that I could see joining the Plus lineup is Tales of Berseria. In TALES OF BERSERIA, players embark on a journey of self-discovery as they assume the role of Velvet, a young woman whose once kind demeanor has been replaced and overcome with a festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience three years prior to the events within TALES OF BERSERIA. Velvet will join a crew of pirates as they sail across the sea and visit the many islands that make up the sacred kingdom of Midgand. It’s a great JRPG and one I feel like more players should check out.

3. Mad Max

Another title that I could see coming to PlayStation Plus next month is Mad Max. I’m including this one because I’ve started seeing some overlap between both PlayStation Plus and the Xbox Game Pass and I feel like games we see on one have a high chance of appearing on the other. Mad Max is one of those titles that is on Xbox Game Pass that I could see being offered free on Plus as well. The game never really got the attention it maybe deserves due to it launching the same day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Mad Max has some issues but is still a fun open world game.

4. Observer

Another great indie game that not near enough people took notice of in 2017 was Observer. Observer is a first person horror experience with cyberpunk elements that was well received critically last year. This makes it a prime candidate for the service as Sony loves to find some of the titles that are great that more people should play and Observer is one of them. It even has cyberpunk legend Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner in it. I’d love to see this on PlayStation Plus soon.

Have your say!
