The weekly sales charts for the UK retail market are in and it was quite a busy week that saw a lot of new games make their debut.
This week’s number 1 is a little bit different depending on how you consider things. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy was technically the best selling game of the week but that is because Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee are two separate titles. If you combine them they were the best selling game of the week. While the new Pokemon games did well they are down more than 60% compared to Sun and Moon and down 5% compared to Pokemon X and Y. Digital sales of course aren’t factored into this. Spyro meanwhile sold best on the PS4 with that platform accounting for 75% of total sales.
Like I said it was a busy week and we had a few other new releases as well. Fallout 76 was one of those games and came in at No.3 for the week. The bad news for the game is that sales were down more than 82% compared to Fallout 4 which released back in 2015. Hitman 2 also released and placed at No.10 or the week. Red Dead Redemption 2, FIFA 19, and Call of Duty Black Ops 4 all continue to sell well. Read below for the full top 10 selling games for the past week.
