The weekly UK retail video game sales charts are in and Ubisoft’s newest title, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, has taken the crown this week.
It isn’t all good news though as while the game was No.1 this week sales are far from what the original had back in 2016. Launch sales of the sequel are only 20% of what the first game sold in the UK in the first week. Now sure digital sales have grown in the last few years but no where near the amount that would put this anywhere close to what the first game did. The game sold best on PS4 with 60% with the remaining copies being sold on Xbox One.
Last week’s No.1, Devil May Cry 5, slipped down to No.6 in the second week on sale having seen sales drop more than half. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V both had price discounts which helped move them up the charts this week.
The only other new release for the week was One Piece: World Seeker which came in at No.28 this week. You can see the full top 10 below.
