Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced that the next major update for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is going to hit tomorrow brining with it brand new content for players to get into.
The Tidal Basin update starts April 5 and is part of the Invasion: Battle for DC update. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players will all be able to update their game and get access to the Tidal Basin stronghold which is under the control of the Black Tusk faction. Those who manage to finish it will be able to advance to World Tier 5 and start working towards the new gear score cap of 500. You’ll want to hit that new cap as well if you want to take on the first 8 player raid in the game called Operation Dark Hours. The raid will hit on April 25 so you’ll have a few weeks to hit that cap and prepare for it.
World Tier 5 also brings weekly invasions to the game which sees the Black Tusk taking control of main missions and strongholds across the game. Weekly invasions are difficult but very rewarding so they will be worth doing. Two new exotic weapons, Pestilence and Nemesis, are also being added to the game along with three new gear sets: True Patriot, Hardwired, and Ongoing Directive. A brand new Specialization will also be added to the game along with the Invasion Apparel Event where you’ll be able to collect outfits inspired by enemy factions.
Three more updates will also be coming to The Division 2 throughout 2019 which you can read about below.
- Episode 1 – DC Outskirts: Expeditions will release in summer 2019, and take players to the surrounding areas of DC to fight for the liberation of the city in two additional main missions, and in a new game mode to investigate the fate of a lost convoy.
- Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle will release in fall 2019, and feature additional main missions that will see players storming the Pentagon to unveil the secrets that hide beneath one of America’s most iconic locations.
