Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Saber Interactive have announced that their co-op zombie shooter World War Z has nearly sold 2 million copies worldwide in its first month.
The publisher and developer have also released a new Accolades trailer to celebrate the mark.
World War Z is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC both at retailers and digitally. Josh Austin, SVP and WW Licensing and Interactive at Paramount Pictures had this to say about World War Z:
World War Z has fast become one of our most successful interactive games to date. It’s a testament to both the incredible co-op action experience that Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have crafted, as well as the strong appeal of our hit franchise with fans across the globe.
Saber Interactive has already announced that they plan on continuing to support the game with new content going forward. They already announced the first season of free content headed to the game in the coming months that includes a brand new Tokyo mission, a deadly new zombie type, six-skull difficulty setting, Weekly Challenge mode and bonus cosmetics. Other future updates will include a wave-based survival mode, private lobbies, the ability to switch classes during PvPvZ matches, and FOV and level of detail sliders on PC.
