Developer Three Fields Entertainment has announced that the online multiplayer mode patch for Dangerous Driving is now available to download for PlayStation 4 users. Xbox One players will get the patch next week and PC players will get it as soon as it’s ready.
The missing online multiplayer modes was an issue many had with the game when it launched back in April and Three Fields said they hoped to have it out within a month. It has taken a bit longer than that but certification processes sometimes hold things up.
If you own the game on PS4 the patch is available now and weighs in at around 970 MB. Here is what it includes:
- 6 player online racing.
- A Ranking system directly related to your finishing position in each race. Finish a race and you will get 1 point plus another point for every person you beat, giving a maximum of 6 points per race (As we add more game modes we will likely add more ways to earn points).
- 18 pre set events.
- Client Server but without a dedicated Server – so one player will be the host and they will create the game and choose the event (and hence the car).
Rather than delay all versions due to the Xbox resubmission we have decided to stagger the online release of #DangerousDriving. PlayStation4 should come online TONIGHT. PC to follow as soon as it's ready and Xbox next week. Get ready for some contact sport! #raceonline pic.twitter.com/bBHNaJqMx1
