Born in Kent, England; she is the only female player in history to hold both a World Series Poker and 2010 European Poker Tour Champion title. Boeree was a model before her success, which unfortunately led to many poker players underestimating her skills and assuming her as just a pretty face. But the graduate astrophysicist soon proved doubters wrong and within 3 years of playing poker, won her first tournament in 2008 at the Ladbrokes European Ladies Championships. As current number 5 on the female all-time live poker winnings list, it’s safe to assume that Boeree has a healthy bank balance. However it’s her generosity and extensive donations, including raising over $6 million for her own charity that make her a firm fan favourite and one of the most famous poker players.
Fedor Holz
Despite being only just 25 years of age, Fedor Holz is number one on the German all-time money list with live earnings that total over $26 million dollars. With a young face, reserved nature and coming from humble beginnings, many opponents underestimated his natural ability. Yet in 2013 in his first year playing professionally, he came first in the World Championship of Online Poker and people began to take note. He secured his spot as one of the worlds most famous poker players when he won $21 million during 2016 and 2018 alone. A streak that achieved his space on the Forbes Under 30 list in Germany and further placed him number four on the world All-Time Money List.
