The UK weekly retail video game sales chart for last week is in and Nintendo has once again put out a chart topping game.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was the No.1 seller for the week and also became the fastest selling Nintendo Switch game of the year in the UK beating out the previous holder Super Mario Maker 2. This is only the third time that a Legend of Zelda game has been No.1 following in the footsteps of both The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on the Gamecube and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. The biggest Zelda launch ever in the UK though still goes to Breath of the Wild.
Borderlands 3 falls to No.2 this week while Gears 5 fell from No.2 to No.4. GreedFall was No.5 in the last charts but fell all the way to No.28 this past week. Another new release this past week was Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered which placed No.23 on the Switch and No.26 on the PS4. Truck Driver also went on sale and came in at No.11 in its first week. You can see the full top ten list below.
