The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has moved back into the No.1 spot.
Last week’s No.1 title, Pokemon Sword, dropped to No.3 while Pokemon Shield fell from No.3 to No.5. Both titles saw sales drop over 50% on the week which isn’t that bad when compared to some past Pokemon titles. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order remained in the No.2 spot as sales only dropped 47% on the week.
The rest of the top ten is dominated by Nintendo Switch titles such as Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Minecraft and more. Death Stranding fell out of the top ten to No.13. Of course Shenmue III launched last week but it didn’t have a huge opening only making it to No.17 in the charts. This is a niche series and when close to 70,000 people backed the kickstarter that tends to affect launch day sales. You can see the full top ten for the week below.
