The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and one of, if not the biggest, games of 2020 is back on top.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has taken back the No.1 spot this past week. It has been 11 weeks since it was last at the top spot but it has remained in the top ten since then. We just recently learned that the game has sold over 20 million copies worldwide and chances are it won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
Nintendo games in general dominated the top ten spots this past week with games like Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Paper Mario: The Origami King, Ring Fit Adventure and more all appearing. Ghost of Tsushima, which has been at the No.1 spot since releasing last month, fell to No.2 this past week.
The only new release for the week was Fast & Furious: Crossroads which only made it to No.17 for the week. That is a disappointing placement for a game from the Project CARS developer but then judging by the critical response it is a disappointing game so. You can see the full top ten for the week below.
