We’ve been waiting for Microsoft to officially announce the Xbox Series S for some time now but thanks to Thurrott executive editor Brad Sams we may now have that information.
Brad Sams posted a video this evening showing the design of the Xbox Series S and the price point which he says will be $299. That isn’t hard to believe give that the Series S won’t have a disc drive, has weaker overall hardware inside when compared to the Series X, and will be aimed to be sold to those interested in Xbox Game Pass and Project Xcloud.
This leak was further backed up on Twitter by Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad who said that the design is real but he is not sure if the price point is.
If all of that wasn’t proof enough, we also have Twitter user @_h0x0d_ who posted a 4-second clip showing the Series S size compared to the Xbox Series X.
With all of this now out there I have to imagine that it won’t be long before Microsoft officially announces it. Hopefully we’ll hear something this week.
