Publisher 2K Games and developer Gearbox Software have announced that they will be releasing Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms.
Already own the game on current-gen consoles? Don’t worry as they confirmed that those who own it will be able to upgrade to the new versions for free and also carry over their save data and DLC.
As for improvements, Gearbox confirmed that the next-gen version of Borderlands 3 will run at 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second when playing in single player. Players will also be able to play in three and four-player split-screen co-op on the next gen platforms. Gearbox isn’t forgetting about their current players though as vertical split-screen support and full cross-play support is coming to all versions of Borderlands 3.
There is even more content on the way for the game in 2020 including a new skill tree for every vault hunter, a new game mode, and more.
