Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Sumo Digital have announced that those who are picking up Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 next week will have to wait a little longer to play it online with friends.
The developer said that they need a little bit more time to get the online multiplayer working as well as it should be and expects to release it via a free update to the game before the end of 2020. Until then players can play the entire game in 1-4 players locally until that update hits.
When it does drop players across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be able to play together and you’ll be able to carry your save data over from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.
