The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and FIFA 21 just keeps on keeping on in that No.1 spot.
This is the fifth straight week that FIFA 21 has been at the top with it beating out the second-place game Animal Crossing: New Horizons which also just never seems to drop in these charts. Watch Dogs Legion from Ubisoft fell from No.2 in its first week on sale to No.4 this past week with sales dropping around 58%.
There were some new releases this past week but none of them made it into the top ten. Two of those games were racing games with the first being Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered from EA. It made it to No.35 with the PlayStation version selling best with 61% of the sales. DIRT 5 from Codemasters took the No.38 spot and funny enough sold best on Xbox One with 67% of the sales. This isn’t a good start for the latest DIRT game but considering the game was marketed as a next-generation game quite a bit we’ll have to wait and see how it does on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
This next week is next-generation launch week and along with the new consoles we have a ton of new games launching. The next chart should be quite interesting. For now, you can view the top ten in this one below.
