The latest UK weekly retail video game sales chart is in and we’ve got all the details about where the PlayStation 5 launch games have placed.
Before we get into the PlayStation 5 exclusives, I have to call out that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has taken the No.1 spot this week after taking No.2 in its debut week. We learned that the game had a huge digital opening so that probably explains why it wasn’t on top during that first week on sale.
FIFA 21 had a huge increase in sales last week and took the No.2 spot because of it. After that we start seeing the PlayStation 5 games with the first being Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales at No.3. Sales for it were over 50% smaller than the 2018 Spider-Man game during their debut week but again we don’t have digital sales numbers included in this.
Last week’s No.1 game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fell down to No.4 in the new charts after seeing a 70% drop in sales. There weren’t a lot of new releases this week in the top ten but one of them was Fortnite: The Last Laugh Bundle which took the No.5 spot and the other was Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which took the No.6 spot. You can see the full top ten for the week below.
