Golden Axe

Golden axe was a game initially created by Sega for Arcade cabinets, but it was later adapted for the Sega Genesis. It is set in a land called Yuria, a medieval fantasy world. A creature called Death Adder has kept Yuria’s king and his daughter captive and threatens to destroy them along with the country’s magical axe. The gameplay consists of playing as one of the three warriors named Gilius Thunderhead, Ax Battler or Tyris Flare. The player’s aim is to rescue the villagers, reach the castle, and defeat Death Adder. In the Genesis version of the game, there is another final boss battle against Death Bringer. This victory will give the character the golden axe and immortality.

ToeJam & Earl

ToeJam & Earl was a console game published by Sega for the Genesis. It came out in the year 1991 and features two alien rappers called ToeJam and Earl who had crashed on earth. The player’s mission is to play as either of the aliens and collect pieces of their wrecked spacecraft. The game was appreciated for its humour, music and character designs. Two sequels of this game also came out in the next few years.

Gunstar Heroes

Gunstar Heroes was published by Sega and released in Genesis in the year 1993. In this classic console game that can be played in single-player mode or with another person, two brothers have to fight various enemies using guns and other techniques. The player must complete seven levels to stop a villainous empire.
