Psychotic’s Colossus Down Launches on PS4 and Switch on January 28

Developer Mango Protocol has announced that the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of their game Psychotic’s Colossus Down will launch on January 28.

The game launched on Xbox One and PC in December. The game will be priced at $17.99 on PS4 and Switch and pre-orders are live now on the Switch eShop with a 10% discount. You can watch the new trailer and read more about the game below.

Colossus Down is a destruction adventure for 1 or 2 players that mixes beat’em up, shoot’em up and platforming gameplay with puzzles and a unique and twisted story featuring Nika, a 7 year old girl that has just built a mass destruction mecha to end with everything she doesn’t like. That includes kitschy dresses, never-ending sagas of boring video games, history books, pea soup, planned obsolescence… Regular stuff, right?

MechaNika (that’s how Nika named her invention) can slash, burn and electrocute anything and anyone that gets in her way. On top of that, MechaNika has 4 special modules that Nika will be able to power up during her quest, unlocking new devastating attacks, like the dumbshredder, the electroblast, the pyrorain and the groundcracker.

Nika will face this mission alone or with her friend Agatha, the insomniac butcher that spends all her nights playing with her animal friends, only before she turns them into burgers to keep the Great Bleeding Pig, god of Carnivorism, happy. Agatha and the Pig God have their own set of basic and special skills, completely different from MechaNika’s, like the chopping tornado, the purifying herd, the scarlet vomit and the divine retribution. This cooperative mode for 2 players will include new story events and new combat strategies thanks to the combination of skills from both characters, making Colossus Down a different experience depending on whether you play it alone or with a friend.

Players will join Nika and Agatha through 18 levels where they will meet new and fascinating characters. Our little revolutionaires will soon discover that they are not the only ones with “special” plans to change the world. Nika and Agatha will have to face tough decisions and their consequences, which could align with their plan or present new unexpected goals. These decisions will affect the mission as players may get new rewards, face different enemies or even unlock 4 alternative endings.
