The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and fresh stock of the PlayStation 5 has caused some big increases for the week.
Before we get to that though Nintendo once again took the top spot with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. It has been at No.1 for three weeks going back to when it released. Coming in at No.2 though was Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales which had a 172% increase in sales. This was caused by more stock of the PlayStation 5 arriving in the region last week. Demon’s Souls was another PlayStation 5 game that got a boost rising up to the No.21 spot after a 123% increase in sales.
Another PlayStation game also had a huge increase in sales and that was The Last of Us: Part 2 which took the No.3 spot. The game had a pretty big discount at retailers which caused an almost 4000% increase in sales.
As for new titles, Persona 5 Strikers from Atlus took the No.5 spot in its release week. The game sold best on the PlayStation 4 with that version accounting for 72% of the sales. Bravely Default 2 from Square Enix released on the Nintendo Switch last week and took the No.11 spot. You can see the full top ten below.
