The weekly UK retail video game sales chart for last week is in and Square Enix’s newest IP Outriders made it into the top ten.
Outriders made it to No.6 in its first week on sale with the game having sold best on PlayStation. The breakdown goes 52% on PS5, 31% on PS4, and 17% on Xbox. Something to keep in mind though is that the game is available on Xbox Game Pass so I’m sure a lot of people opted to not outright buy the game and instead play it on there.
Square Enix also released Balan Wonderworld last week but that new IP failed to break into the top 40 at all which isn’t a good look. Monster Hunter Rise, which was No.1 the previous week, fell to No.4 last week while FIFA 21 rose to No.1 after a huge sales increase. You can see the full top ten for the week below.
