CI Games has announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 on the PlayStation 5 is being delayed.
The PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC versions are still on track to release on June 4 but the PlayStation 5 version will now release later in 2021. This is due to unforeseen technical issues that were discovered in that version of the game leading up to the launch.
As a gesture of goodwill, the team has announced that the first major DLC release that consists of an extensive new map with new contracts will release for free to everyone on all versions of the game. More news on the DLC release date will come in the future.
Players on PlayStation 4 will get a free digital upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version whether they buy the PlayStation 4 version digitally or at retail.
