Mortal Kombat 11 Has Sold Over 12 Million Copies Worldwide

Mortal Kombat 11 has been a huge success as publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer NetherRealm Studios have announced that sales for the game have topped 12 million worldwide.

Mortal Kombat 11 launched in April 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC and went on to get tons of post-launch support in the form of new fighters and a new story. The game launched again on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in November 2020.

NetherRealm Studios creative director and Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon had this to say:

“When Mortal Kombat launched nearly 30 years ago, I never dreamed it would grow into the franchise it is today with more than 73 million games sold. We have some of the most passionate fans in the world and we appreciate the support they have shown us over the years.”

The Mortal Kombat franchise has now sold over 73 million copies worldwide to date.
