Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that total sales for the PlayStation 5 have surpassed 10 million units worldwide as of July 18.
This number makes the PlayStation 5 the fastest selling PlayStation console of all time for Sony. Sony also provided sales number updates for a number of PlayStation 5 titles.
- Returnal – 560,000
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – 6.5 Million
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – 1.1 Million
- MLB The Show 21 – Two Million with over four million players.
Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan had this to say in the press release:

While PS5 has reached more households faster than any of our previous consoles, we still have a lot of work ahead of us as demand for PS5 continues to outstrip supply. I want gamers to know that while we continue to face unique challenges throughout the world that affect our industry and many others, improving inventory levels remains a top priority for SIE.”
