Dying Light 2: Stay Human is still a couple months away from release but developer Techland has announced today that the game has gone gold.
What that means is that the game is finished and ready to be printed onto discs. This may seem a bit early but the team will still be working on tweaks and upgrades for the game leading up to the release in February 2022.
Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala had this to say on the announcement:
“We are very excited about this and now we can truly feel that this is actually happening! After so many years of hard work we are proudly looking forward to the release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.”
“This is it. The final and crucial moment for us. The game is ready to be manufactured, but we will not slow down. The fact that the game is done and we hit the gold status two months before the release is a great sign but it doesn’t mean that our work ends here. There are still some upgrades and tweaks to add, and community feedback to implement, but the base is solid and ready to play. I’m extremely proud of the whole team!”
Dying Light 2 will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 4, 2022. If you want to see more gameplay you’ll be able to do so on December 2 in a new episode of Dying 2 Know.
