Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online Arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series on March 15; Next Grand Theft Auto Game is in Development

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on March 15.

Both versions will include up to 4K resolution support, support for up to 60FPSS, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR support, ray tracing, faster load times, 3D audio support, and platform specific features such as haptic feedback on PlayStation 5.

No pricing has been announced at this time but PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 5 will get Grand Theft Auto Online for free for the first three months. Players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also be able to transfer their progress from the Story Mode and their GTA Online custom characters and progress over to the new versions.

Rockstar has also confirmed that development on the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is well underway and they will be sharing updates when they can.

With the unprecedented longevity of GTAV, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered — and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.

On behalf of our entire team, we thank you all for your support and cannot wait to step into the future with you!
