Sifu Sales Pass 1 Million in Three Weeks; Fun Player Statistics Revealed

Developer Sloclap has announced that their kung-fu brawler Sifu has sold more than 1 million units worldwide since launching three weeks ago.

Sifu is available digitally now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC and a retail release is on the way in May from publisher Microids. Along with the updated sales numbers, the team also provided some other statistics from the game:

  • 45% of players have beaten the game’s second level
  • 10 million+ hours have been played collectively
  • 150,000 players have defeated Yang

Executive producer Pierre Tarno had the following to say:

“We are thrilled by the reception of Sifu from both fans and press alike. We set out to create an authentic, Kung Fu action game that paid homage to our favorite Kung Fu films. We’re thankful for our fans around the world but we are especially humbled by the incredible reception the game has had in China. Our internal metric of success was how well the game was received there and knowing that fans in China are the largest segment of our sales outside of North America and the positive reviews from Chinese critics means a lot to us.”
