The design of this game is both gorgeous and creepy at the same time. Atomic Heart is an open-world action/RPG set for release on all major consoles and PC sometime in 2022. The game takes place in an alternate reality during the time of the Soviet Union. You will find yourself having to clear up the mess made by the government; a mess of monsters which you must find and destroy.
Choo-Choo Charles
Release Date – 2022
Platform: PC
Choo-Choo Charles is essentially a toddlers nightmare made into a PC game! An open world action game, your mission is to navigate an old train through a fog covered landscape. You are able to upgrade the trains armour and weapons as you fend off attacks from the landscape monsters. The biggest monster of them all? A giant spider/train hybrid which is always on your tail.
Dead Space (Remake)
Release Date – 2022
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
What better way to reestablish a franchise than by remaking a fantastic 2008 original? EA will retain the basic concept of the original Dead Space but will add some ‘interesting’ features. One of the scariest games of all time, we truly hope the remake will offer us some additional scares in addition to the fantastic gameplay and setting of the original.
Ghostwire:Tokyo
Release Date – 2022
Platform: PlayStation 5, PC
A first person adventure through a completely deserted Tokyo city. Well, not entirely deserted. Ghostwire: Tokyo will see the protagonist look to use his supernatural abilities and hand gestures to vanquish the new and creepy inhabitants of Tokyo’s streets.
Evil Dead: The Game
Release Date – May 13 2022
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC
Lastly on our list of upcoming horror games we have Evil Dead: The Game. Less scary and more beat-em-up, this is a mixture of co-op and online multiplayer action where you must work as a team to explore the world, gather supplies and beat and batter the hideous monsters. This game encompasses many characters from the other Evil Dead games including Ash, Scotty and Lord Arthur.
Adventure Games
Adventure games help to quench the natural human thirst for adventure.Whilst you may not be able to travel back in time or go into outer space yourself, you can allow the best adventure video games to transport you there.
Deliver us the Moon

Already available to be played if you are a PC gamer, Deliver us the Moon is a thrilling space exploration game where you must discover and explore an abandoned moon base. This is perhaps the most realistic space exploration game ever released where every decision you make will matter.
Dolem
Release Date – May 20 2022

We didn’t know whether to include Dolem in the horror or adventure category, but we ended up choosing adventure although it could go in either. Dolem is an upcoming Sci-Fi RPG and is a mix of Dark Souls-esque combat mixed with Lovecraftian horror. This reminds us a little of Halo as your mission is to take out and destroy thousands of hostile aliens.
Gotham Knights
Release Date – October 25 2022
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC
DC fans rejoice. Gotham Knights is shaping up to be one of the best games of 2022. Set for release in October, this is for me the game I am looking forward to the most. Although not too much is known about it right now, I truly hope Gotham Knights delivers.
