After being silent on the Resident Evil Village DLC for a year now Capcom has finally given us all the details on when and what to expect from it.
Resident Evil Village: The Winters’ Expansion will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC on October 28 and brings three major modes to the game. The first is the option to play the entire game in third-person mode. The second is called The Mercenaries Additional Orders which will let you play in new stages with new playable characters like Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu herself.
The final addition is a brand-new story called The Shadows of Rose which picks up 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village. It follows Ethan’s daughter Rose as she struggles with her terrifying powers.
Players who have yet to buy the game can pick up Resident Evil Village Gold Edition on the same day digitally or at retail which includes the game and the Winters’ Expansion. The multiplayer spin-off game Resident Evil Re:Verse will also launch the same day. If you missed the news Resident Evil Village will also be coming to PlayStation VR2 in 2023.
