A selection of the best PS5 games so far

Gaming has always been popular, but it certainly wasn’t always as impressive as it is now. In fact, while some opinions may vary on the variety of gaming options out there, there is no doubting just how impressive the PlayStation 5 is. Of course, the delay around its release caused understandable annoyance within the gaming community, but it was most definitely worth the wait, wasn’t it?

Thanks to continued advancements in gaming, the PS5 is regarded by many as being the best gaming option around. There are commonly utilised products away from Sony’s latest console too, with some gamers opting for on-the-go mobile options like live roulette at an online casino and more detailed portable gaming releases such as the Nintendo Switch. In terms of its all-round sophistication, such as the graphics on offer, the gameplay, and other important features, the PlayStation 5 is hard to beat, though.

If you can manage to get your hands on a PS5, then the array of gaming opportunities that come with it is mightily impressive. While the frequency of new releases can certainly improve, there are some strong contenders in the pack so far. Thankfully, more games are expected to come in the coming months as the PS5’s offering continues to evolve. For now, though, let’s assess a selection of memorable releases that are contributing towards what many believe is the best games console ever.

Returnal

When assessing the AAA category of gaming, perhaps the biggest blockbuster of the lot is Returnal. While these types of offerings don’t hold back on marketing, it still has to deliver to the community of discerning PlayStation gamers. Thankfully, for Returnal, it most definitely did. Containing intense bullet battles and a selection of intricate obstacles to overcome, this chaos-filled game is impossible to ignore.

Horizon Forbidden West

Anyone for saving the world from a massive population of robotic dinosaurs? If so, then purchase Horizon Forbidden West immediately. The first game was a success, of course, but this perfect sequel is most definitely better. With new characters and a compelling storyline, it’s hard not to get immediately drawn into Horizon Forbidden West. The side quests add to the game also, adding another layer of entertainment to this already detailed title. In terms of its graphics, you won’t find a better game on the market either.

Deathloop

Yet another triumph from Arkane Studios, Deathloop is capable of keeping you entertained for hours on end. Killing eight targets in a single day has never been so appealing, especially as you explore Black Reef and aim to educate yourself on everything that is frequenting it. A confusing time-looping world, Deathloop is easily one of the best games to play on a PS5.

Elden Ring

With freedom and discovery at the forefront of this release’s gameplay, players can utilise Elden Ring’s open-world offering and explore a variety of different landscapes. From underground cities and caves to forts and castles, this exploration masterpiece will certainly keep you entertained for many hours. Thanks to its remarkable graphics, this pleasurable gaming package is widely regarded as being one of the best options on PS5 right now. The game also features a large dose of boss battles, as well as a variety of challenges to overcome as you aim to unlock new rewards. Elden Ring is certainly a challenging game, though.

Other top releases include Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Demon’s Souls, Resident Evil Village, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Hitman 3, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Astro’s Playroom, Sifu, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
