Following the announcement in the recent Nintendo Direct, we now have learned the file size for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth port for Nintendo Switch 2.
The Japanese web portal for the game has confirmed that the file size will be 102GB on the Switch 2 which is far smaller than it was on PlayStation 5 and PC.
For comparison the PS5 weighs in at 145.25 GB while the PC version is 155 GB. Game Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that optimizing for the Steam Deck helped them shrink the file size for the Switch 2 version.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series on June 3.
