More bad news for consumers as Microsoft has announced that they are once again raising the prices of their Xbox Series console hardware.
This is the third time the prices of Xbox have increased in the past year following a global increase in May 2025 and a US increase in October 2025. These new prices will go into affect starting on August 1 and will see prices rise from $100 to $150.
The 512GB model Xbox Series S will increase by $100 to $499.99 while the 1TB Xbox Series X and Series S will increase by $150. The 2TB Xbox Series X is being discontinued. Here are the new prices:
Series X 1TB (disc drive) – $799.99 (+$150)
Series X 1TB (digital) – $749.99 (+$150)
Series X 2TB Galaxy Black – Discontinued
Series S 512GB – $499.99 (+$100)
Series S 1TB – $599.99 (+$150)
Microsoft has said they will run new programs like a buy now pay later through the Microsoft Store and a 12 month no interest through Amazon but consumers are still going to be paying more no matter how they go about it.
