If you are a PlayStation Plus member you know that we probably just had a best month ever in terms of free PS4 games. In March Sony gave us both Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank which are two of the best games available on the platform. It’s hard to top that but even before March Sony has been including some great titles on Plus such as Until Dawn, Metal Gear Solid V and more. So what might we see in the lineup in April? Let’s make a few guesses.
1. Killzone: Shadow Fall
When it comes to PlayStation Plus Sony has been throwing their first party titles on there a lot more lately. Over the past year we’ve seen Tearaway, LittleBigPlanet 3, Infamous: Second Son, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank and others all given away for free. It’s only natural to expect the PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall to make its appearance on the service soon as well. While it wasn’t as good as previous Killzone titles there was still fun to be had in Shadow Fall. There are still people playing it online today and given a chance to be on the service Killzone: Shadow Fall could see its player base grow once again.
2. Nex Machina
Look we aren’t going to get two AAA titles on PlayStation Plus every month like we did in March but don’t worry as there are lots of great indie games out there that deserve to be played by more players as well. One of those titles is Nex Machina from Housemarque. Nex Machina was a sleeper hit last Summer when it launched on PSN. I reviewed it and thought it was probably the best twin stick shooter I had ever played. The mechanics are so good and the visuals on screen are spectacular especially on the PS4 Pro. Housemarque has been known to send their games onto PlayStation Plus after some time so Nex Machina is a prime candidate.
3. The Order: 1886
Another Sony first party game that probably should be on PlayStation Plus is The Order: 1886 from Ready at Dawn Studios. Now yes the game wasn’t received well by critics and many players had issues with it as well but some like myself felt like there were a lot of great things about the game. The original price tag for the game was far too high for what it was but should it be free on Plus it is absolutely worth putting in those 6-7 hours to experience it. And hey if you like trophies it is one of the easiest Platinum’s you can get.
4. Dishonored 2
Moving away from the first party titles another game we’d like to see on PlayStation Plus is Dishonored 2 from Arkane Studios and Bethesda. Dishonored 2 released in Fall 2016 and got great reviews from critics but sadly wasn’t played by many gamers. For whatever reason people just didn’t play this fantastic sequel which let you play as either Corvo or Emily. The first title made its way to the service several years back on PS3 and given that many gamers never picked Dishonored 2 up and the fact that the offerings on Plus have been getting better and better we could see Dishonored 2 on the service soon.
